Terms of Service
Please read these Terms carefully before using the Taskee platform.

1. About Taskee
Taskee Ltd (“Taskee”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an online marketplace platform operated by Taskee Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

Taskee provides a digital platform that enables customers (“Customers”) to connect with independent service providers (“Heroes”) who offer cleaning and related services.
Taskee does not provide cleaning services and does not act as an employer, employment agency, or contractor for Heroes.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using the Taskee platform, including creating an account, listing services, or making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, and Cancellation & Refund Policy (together, the “Policies”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the platform.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use Taskee.
All users must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep their account details up to date.
Taskee reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where information is false, misleading, incomplete, or where misuse or abuse of the platform is suspected.
4. Marketplace Role & No Employment Relationship
Taskee operates as a marketplace only.
• Heroes operate as self-employed independent contractors
• Heroes are not employees, workers, agents, or representatives of Taskee
• Taskee does not control how services are performed
• Taskee does not guarantee any volume of work, income, or availability
Heroes are solely responsible for:
• their own taxes and National Insurance contributions
• compliance with right-to-work and immigration laws
• insurance, equipment, and supplies unless otherwise agreed
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, worker, partnership, or agency relationship. Heroes are solely responsible for their own tax obligations, National Insurance contributions, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
5. Insurance
Taskee does not provide insurance coverage for services booked through the platform.
Heroes may indicate whether they hold their own public liability insurance. Any such information is provided by the Hero and displayed for informational purposes only.
Taskee does not verify, endorse, or guarantee insurance coverage held by Heroes and accepts no responsibility for claims, losses, or damages arising from services provided by Heroes.
6. Bookings and Services
Bookings made through Taskee constitute a direct contract for services between the Customer and the Hero.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate booking details, including service requirements, access instructions, and property information.
Heroes are responsible for reviewing booking details before accepting a job and for performing services with reasonable skill and care.
7. Payments and Platform Use
All payments must be made through the Taskee platform using supported payment methods. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Taskee does not store full card details. Users must not attempt to bypass the platform or arrange off-platform payments. Any attempt to do so may result in suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
Heroes and Customers must not:
• accept or request off-platform payments
• arrange work outside the platform for bookings introduced through Taskee
8. Verification and Document Upload
To protect platform safety and trust, Heroes are required to complete a verification process.
Due to platform limitations, verification documents are collected via a secure third-party form after sign-up.
Heroes may be required to provide:
• proof of identity
• proof of right to work in the UK (where applicable)
• other verification documents as reasonably required
Hero listings may remain inactive or hidden until verification is completed.
Taskee reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or remove listings that do not meet verification requirements.
9. Listings, Photos, and User Content
Heroes may upload photos to their service listings.
Service providers may upload listing photos only where customer consent has been granted or where images are generic and do not identify a customer’s property or personal belongings.
Heroes confirm that they own the rights to any content uploaded or have obtained appropriate permission to use it.
Taskee does not verify ownership of uploaded content and accepts no responsibility for user-submitted images.
Taskee reserves the right to remove any content without notice where it believes content breaches these Terms, infringes privacy, or may expose Taskee to legal risk.
Customers may indicate during booking whether they consent to photos being taken for listing purposes. Heroes must respect this selection.
9.1. Completion Photos (Proof of Service)
Where a Customer is not present at the property during the service, Heroes may be required to upload completion photos as proof that the service was carried out. These photos are used solely for dispute resolution and quality assurance purposes and are not displayed publicly.
Completion photos are reviewed only in the event of a complaint.
10. Performance Monitoring and Platform Standards
Taskee monitors platform activity to maintain service quality and trust. This may include reviewing:
• attendance and punctuality
• cancellation behaviour
• customer feedback and complaints
• suspected breaches of these Terms
Taskee may take administrative action at its discretion, including:
• issuing warnings
• restricting access to bookings
• temporary suspension
• permanent removal from the platform
11. Platform Fees
Taskee charges a platform service fee for the use of the marketplace, including payment processing, platform maintenance, and customer support.
For each completed booking:
• a 5% service fee is charged to Heroes
• a 5% service fee is charged to Customers at checkout
All applicable fees are clearly displayed before a booking is confirmed and applied automatically through the platform.
All fees are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. Taskee reserves the right to amend its fee structure from time to time. Any changes will be communicated in advance and will not affect bookings already confirmed.
Platform fees are subject to change at Taskee’s discretion. Any changes to fees will be communicated to Users in advance via the Taskee platform and will apply only to bookings confirmed after the effective date of the change.
12. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations and refunds are governed by the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits a Customer’s statutory rights under UK consumer law.
13. Prohibited Conduct
Users must not:
• provide false or misleading information
• misuse personal data obtained through the platform
• harass, threaten, or discriminate against others
• damage property or engage in theft
• attempt to circumvent the platform or its fees
Breaches may result in suspension or termination of access.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
• Taskee is not responsible for acts or omissions of Heroes or Customers
• Taskee does not guarantee service outcomes
• Taskee is not liable for indirect or consequential losses
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taskee’s total liability to any user arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total platform fees paid by that user to Taskee in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
15. Changes to These Terms
Taskee may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be effective once published on the platform. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
